DES is a government-funded program that supports individuals with disabilities, injuries, illnesses, or mental health conditions in preparing for, finding, and maintaining meaningful employment. The Australian Government Department of Social Services contracts providers like Breakthru to deliver these services in the community, including Brisbane.
To be eligible for DES, you must meet specific criteria, including having a disability, injury, or health condition, being an Australian resident, and meeting certain age and work capacity requirements. You can receive a referral from Services Australia or apply directly to Breakthru.
Depending on your needs, we can help find employers who can provide the necessary modifications. During consultations, we’ll discuss any additional support you may require in the workplace.
Disclosure is entirely voluntary. You decide what information to share, and we can assist you in communicating comfortably and effectively if you choose to disclose.
