About the opportunity
Our Family Mental Health Support Services (FMHSS) provide holistic prevention and early intervention services to young people and their families at risk of or affected by mental illness.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to support our participants to improve long-term outcomes for vulnerable children and their families. The supports include one on one sessions with young people and the opportunity to facilitate therapeutic groups with your team in a school and community setting.
About you
You will be a passionate and energetic person looking to make a difference! As a people person, your focus is on exceptional service delivery and relationship development both internally and externally. You will also be able to clearly articulate and demonstrate:
- Psychology, counselling, or Social Work/Social Science qualification - preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Experience working with children & their families
- Mentoring
- Ability to develop Family Action Plans
- Interpersonal capacity building skills.
- Experience working with customers with complex support needs
- Driven, energetic & committed
- Strong communication skills
- Current driver's license (essential)
- Working with children & Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (essential or willing to obtain)
